Today I was trying to book a ticket for Janmabhoomi from Rajahmundry to Vijayawada in AC chair car the base fare is rs 207 and total rs305. While the select tatkal the base fare changed to rs 331 tatkal rs 125 Total rs565. That means minimum distance charged for tatkal is 250km for AC chair car.
the person is asking about the extensions of current trains to other places which is difficult as per his mentioned timings to maintain and clean these coaches at the end points. and if extended IR will think these as new trains and other proposals will be ignored. and the current Starting Pints of this trains will be pushed into RLWL or PQWL and getting seats will be difficult. Already those trains are Jam packed from the starting points. If extended the current stations will not get any chance to enter into these trains. so i am suggesting him to start new services instead of extending current services.
as u mentioned start an ICE from NED/NZB to SC and start it as JB from sC at 6 if 12706 extended till PSA where it will be maintained? PSA Dont have Maintenance facility
then what happens u know? all NED people take ticket until ending points who want to go there and keep their seats no use for SC passengers as NED NZB people know it will go up to VSKP so they will not empty the seats (maintenance time, reaching time,and starting time)
Dear Mr.Mangalagiri, 1. 22415 cant be Rajdhani as Capital is in BZA area. 2. as u mentioned start an ICE from NED/NZB to SC and start it as JB from SC at 6/7. It is quiet IMPOSSIBLE as if JB reaches NZB/NED at night 11.30 it cant start at morning 4.30 with maintenance. it is a 23 coach train and maintenance will take at least 8 HRS. And giving one more rake for his train is out of question. 3.... more...
if 12706 extended till PSA where it will be maintained? PSA don't have Maintenance facility. Again it has to come back VSKP for maintenance and night traffic is heavy in that route which is impossible. 4. As both trains will start as u think i agree. then what happens u know? in case of JB all NED people take ticket until ending points who want to go there and keep their seats no use for SC passengers as NED NZB people know it will go up to VSKP so they will not leave the seats. and the track is single track reaching sC on time is 80% doubt and the train will get more late and reach VSKP at night 23.00. And it cant start again morning at 5 or 6 with out maintenance and it will get delay again at starting point. Before proposing for extending u have to keep all these things in mind.(maintenance time, reaching time,and starting time)

good question. But in north any train A/c coaches will on demand. we cant compare those trains with this one. The trains which u mentioned started to DBRG after gauge conversion from GHY as trail. but it got very good patronage as they dont have much trains in that area. and it was used by army people more as well as tourists also now also the people above DBRG depends on this trains for faster connectivity, as further no train connectivity is there and Assam is mostly hill area and train is faster than bus. that area here connectivity is good. and A/c express of A.P always have available seats in GNWL check and know this.
Again saying, what you are showing is true, nothing to deny the fact. But what I and other bloggers are saying is, to run a correct type of train at correct time. We need to consider which class of people are traveling in a given section. We are talking about people for whom, taking 230Rs GS ticket matters a lot. We are not asking to run Shatabdhi, Garibrath, Duronto, AC SF etc. we are talking about an intercity kind of connectivity for the sake of this section of people.
