Visakhapatnam Kakinada MEMU express on Friday evening about to leave from PF 6 in Visakhapatnam. The train is recently restored along with Rajahmundry MEMU from Dec 1st week after being repeatedly cancelled for 5-6months. Though many don't know about the train running the crowd is decent and as the dep time passed by all the 8 coaches are filled and the last 4 coaches the door corridor is also filled with passengers sitting on floor. More passengers will board atleast 200 in Marripalem Duvvada and Anakapalle while 200 may get down in AKP mostly season tickets.

MEMU is a 8 coach 700 seating capacity with two bio toilets fitted to each coach with rake MPS of 110kmph. All seats are cushioned.

The train is a 16 coach MEMU precovid and is running fron past 30years to my knowledge almost in the same timezone and when train is converted to MEMU the running time is reduced to 4 hrs 445 dep Kakinada used to arrive at 845 then slowly running time increased and return at 1805 now changed to 1705. On Friday it overtaken by Godavari exp at Narsingapalli 45km from Vskp and reached Samalkot by 900 halted for 30 mins and reached at 940. As MEMU are being run as express trains the running time and priority have to changed and given 4hr 15 mins from Vskp to Kakinada town and punctuality need to followed. Return everyday it halts at Samalkot for 30-60mins to let main line trains.
