its meter guage. I travelled in 2004 frm ooty to mtp. First it was hauled by a diesel loco til coonoor. Then steam engine (I guess it was steam loco as water was being filled in loco at coonoor) hauled it til mtp. It ran very slow til it descended the gradient and reached ground level after which it ran at good speed till mtp, a distance of abt 8 kms.
i was traveled in 2006 from conoor-ooty diesel engine push the train. that was MG sure

Yes, agree, no point and ppl do not understand, but evenings tend to be a bit better.
trip diary shoud only be enabled for confirm tickets and rac tickets in case of e-ticket...or in a wl ticket,only when it enters rac/confirm or if its a prs ticket...it should be allowed to stay in pnr forum till it enters rac/confirm...becuase,as in this case,the trip could not even begin...it has ended before it could begin...still it shows 3 trip diary posts...though no trip could be undertaken!!
but I believe the posts were not that of the traveler himself, rather by the IRI community here discussing various issues regarding climate at ONR BG sir.
but just see,it is saying trip in progress...its a waiting list e ticket and ended up in waiting list...so what sort of trip is being undertaken on this pnr?

I think Coonoor – Mettupalayam Passenger Special/06136 is going down train
and Down train should not take much time as up train
and Down train should not take much time as up train
But query is for 06135,which is going up the hill.So it takes more time

Wap4qwerty 104 blog postsTravelled by this train a week ago. Stops at Kallar, Adderly, Hillgrove, Runnymede for water filling. Hillgrove has refreshments for passegers and it stops for 10mins. X class steam loco 37392 powers this train. Loco is to push not pull.
