Yes but daily connection is there. This if routed via HPT BAY GTL RU would serve a connectivity to those places also. Also end to end passengers would be benefited too.
This train can skip Yesvantpur and use by-pass, already stops are provided at Kjm and Banaswadi.
If the idea is to connect VSG with chennai, it should run via UBL, GTL, RU. If idea is to connect Haveri, Ranebennur, Davanagere, Arsikere, Tumkur to Chennai, it should run at convenient timings at these places. Now it seems train is meant for VSG, UBL and Bangalore passengers only.
Also, this TT with 20 hours waste 2 days in both directions. Instead, it can start at late night and reach destination next day evening.

SWR should explore biweekly via GTL, RU and biweekly via TK, KJM (bypassing YPR). Remaining 3 days, there can be weekly/ biweekly MAS UBL Via GTL/ TK.
This can be by combining all UBL/ VSG to MAS trains and deriving a TT such that trains reach MAS by 1700 and leave MAS by 2000. If PF issues are there, it can go to MS or Tambaram.
With such arrangements, one can get daily UBL MAS as well 4 days a week VSG MAS.
