I never ever missed this train being unnoticed while my up and down journey from Avadi to Stanley Hospital. My EMU bound for Velachery(departs at 7:05 AM in Avadi) used to overtake this train at Vyasarpadi crossing. This train had become one of my favourite train for RF ing.

I had been to Chennai recently for a quick one day trip. After completing my works, while I headed out for some time, I happened to do some train spotting in Korattur R.S., as I waited for my local train. The first of the few trains that I spotted over there was this, RPM WAP-7 39057 hauled 12685 MGR Chennai Central - Mangaluru Central SF Express darting past us at MPS, while making some melodious and rhythmic track sounds.
