Even when WAP7s were reintroduced at Gomoh for the 2nd time, some were again transferred to otehr shed. Though no open declaration was given regarding the reason of transfer, I personally believe it was due to a terrible mistake Gomoh shed did in their WAG class loco (attached)The currently homed Gomoh P7s are the 3rd installment batch actually .

Dislocation of Tread brake unit (TBU) resulted in machine parts hanging over tracks, track sleepers of atleast 1km length got damaged, and ultimately the loco came off track. Senior officials of Railways directly blamed maintainance of Gomoh shed. You will find the same discussed here previously /blog/post/472118Though Gomoh has always been my favourite shed, I personally believe they have quite experienced & brave staff there. To make railway operations profitable, it requires courage. Many of our Howrah shed senior engineers were trained at Gomoh initially. But Gomoh does a lot of silly mistakes too.
