Got a chance to meet the Kakinada-Kotipalli Rail-Bus during a recent trip. It just moved out of CCT station PF2 towards COA to change tracks and move to CCT PF1. Also came face-to-face with a visitor from the West-Coast hauling a special (Probably the Kollam Kakinada Special, I didn't notice the train board). 28616 Valsad WAG7.

This entire route runs through the lush agricultural fields & villages of the famous "East Godavari" district. I found birds of many species on this journey, so if you are a bird lover, its a feast for you. (i even spotted 2 big fox crossing the tracks before the railbus). Interesting facts: Max speed of this rail car is 40 KmphIt also has a "mobile gateman" on-board (At the road crossings, he gets off the railbus & closes the gate manually!). Tickets are also issued on-board. (Pls note that this railbus does not run on Tuesdays)The end-to-end ticket from Kakinada to...
