Area wise Kakinada looks bigger and population wise Kakinada has 443028 while Khammam has 313504 according to 2011 census. I have been to both the places, Kakinada is a planned city so most of the stretch I travelled through was entirely similar and looking aesthetically good. While Khammam is of mixed type, few roads are narrow and very much crowded while some areas were having pretty wide roads and smooth traffic.
