Last journey on Silchar-Lumding metre gauge line In Assam, People of Barak Valley are undertaking their last railway journey on the metre gauge track of the historic Silchar-Lumding route, with the Northeast Frontier Railway closing it for infrastructure and technical build-up for a broad gauge track conversion from 1st of October.
