Have followed this thread and many members spoke that the sector has premium travellers and there is no necessity for cheap intercity trains to compete. I have gathered occupancy data of New Delhi Daulatapur Jan Shatabdi which leaves in afternoon. The train has 9 GS sitting reserved 1000 seats approx and 4 ACC 320 seats making a total capacity of 1320. The train is in WL for about a week in both sides and today after chart preparation both are not available. The train has a vacancy of 550 while ACC 197 from Chandigarh to Una means the number travellers...
