more... President of the Pune Railway Pravasi Community, is hosting the celebration and hopes to see the Deccan Queen transformed into a bullet train. The Punjab Mail, originally called the Punjab Limited, began its journey in 1912 and has undergone significant changes throughout its history, including the addition of air conditioning and the conversion to diesel and electric traction. Today, the Punjab Mail runs on electric traction, covers a distance of 1,930 km between Mumbai and Firozpur Cantonment, and has an occupancy rate exceeding 250%.
