The situation has also affected the number of daily passengers at Kurukshetra Railway Station, which usually sees around 11,500 passengers. Passengers, like Liaqat, are facing delays and difficulties due to cancellations and diversions. The canceled trains include 12459/12460 New Delhi-Amritsar Express, 12497/12498 Shan-e-Punjab, 12057/12058 Janshatabdi Express, 14507/14508 Fazilka Intercity Express, 14033/14034 Jammu Mail Express, 22429/22430 Delhi-Pathankot Express, and 12498 Shan-e-Punjab. The diverted trains include 12919/12920 Malwa Express, 11057/11058 Amritsar Express, 11077/11078 Jhelum Express.

Trains affected include 04452 Kurukshetra-Delhi MEMU (canceled), 15708 Amrapali Express (2 hours 39 minutes delayed), 12926 Paschim Express (2 hours 40 minutes delayed), 22430 Delhi Superfast Express (3 hours 15 minutes delayed), 04583 Delhi-Panipat MEMU (2 hours delayed), and 14507 Bathinda Express (1 hour 15 minutes delayed). Deepak Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Delhi Division, explained that the delays were necessary for maintenance work aimed at improving passenger amenities.
