Guruvayur express and other trains will be diverted via Villupuram, Cuddalore Port, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, and Tiruchi Junctions, skipping stops at Vriddhachalam, Pennadam, Ariyalur, and Srirangam, with additional stops added at Cuddalore Port Junction, Mayiladuthurai Junction, Kumbakonam, and Thanjavur Junction. The Chennai Egmore - Madurai Vaigai superfast express (Train No. 12635) will be delayed for 60 minutes between Villupuram and Ichchangadu stations.

Heavy rain in south T.N. forces Railways to regulate services to Kerala

Due to heavy rains in southern Tamil Nadu, Southern Railway has cancelled or diverted several trains to and from Kerala. Nagercoil Junction-Mumbai CSMT Express was diverted via Thiruvananthapuram Central-Kollam Junction, Ernakulam Town, Palakkad Junction and Erode Junction.
