The special trains include Puri-Nizamuddin-Puri, Durg-Patna, Durg-Chhapra-Durg, Jabalpur-Durg, and Puri-Udhana. Despite these special trains, passengers are still struggling to get confirmed berths on long-distance trains like Sarnath, Navtanwa, Chhattisgarh, South Bihar, Rajdhani Express, and others. To ease the situation, an additional AC 3 coach and a sleeper coach are being temporarily added to the Indore-Puri Humsafar Express (train number 20917/20918). These additional coaches will be attached on May 28th (20917) and May 30th (20918). The Howrah-CSMT-Howrah Duronto Express (train number 12262/12261) and the Howrah-Pune-Howrah Duronto Express (train number 12222/12221) have also been provided with one additional AC-3 coach each to accommodate passengers for a few trips. Despite these measures, long waiting lists persist, and trains continue to be delayed, causing inconveniences to numerous passengers.

The Indian Railways has added an extra AC-3 coach to the Howrah-Pune-Howrah and Howrah-CSMT-Howrah Duronto Express trains to ensure more confirmed berths for passengers.
