Railway health unit at Araku railway station. To manage passenger rush, the railways introduced unreserved special trains. The Ernakulam-Brahmapur (06087) special runs on Saturdays, departing Ernakulam at 11 pm and reaching Brahmapur at 5 am the next day. The return train, Brahmapur-Ernakulam (06088), departs Brahmapur at 12.40 pm on Mondays, reaching Ernakulam at 21.40 pm the next day. The train stops at various stations between Ernakulam and Brahmapur. Another unreserved special train runs between Chennai Egmore and Santragachi. The Chennai Egmore-Santragachi (06077) special departs Chennai Egmore at 11 pm on Saturdays and reaches Santragachi at 7.15 am on Monday. The return train, Santragachi-Chennai Egmore (06078) departs Santragachi at 10 am on Mondays and reaches Chennai Egmore at 3.30 pm on the third day. Finally, a special train connects Dr MGR Chennai Central and Bhubaneswar. The Dr MGR Chennai Central-Bhubaneswar (06073) special departs Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11.45 pm on Mondays and reaches Bhubaneswar at 6.30 pm the next day. The return train, Bhubaneswar-Dr MGR Chennai Central (06074), departs Bhubaneswar at 9 pm on Tuesdays.

Extension of service of Unreserved Special Trains

The unreserved special trains, Train No. 06087 Ernakulam - Brahmapur and Train No. 06088 Brahmapur - Ernakulam, will have their service extended.
