Eastern Railway has permanently added coaches to several popular mail/express trains in May 2024 to address the increasing passenger demand. class coach to the Godda-New Delhi-Godda Humsafar Express (12349/12350), Malda Town-Patna-Malda Town Express (13415/13416), Kolkata-Balurghat-Kolkata Express (13161/13162), and two sleeper class coaches to the Malda Town-Patna-Malda Town Express (13415/13416) and Kolkata-Balurghat-Kolkata Express (13161/13162), and a second-class seating coach to the Sealdah-Lalgola-Sealdah Bhagirathi Express (13103/13104). Additionally, 272 coaches have been temporarily added to various trains to handle the peak season. Eastern Railway has also converted two rakes of the Sealdah-Bamanhat-Sealdah Uttarbanga Express (13147/13148) from ICF to LHB coaches, aiming to provide a safer and more comfortable journey for passengers.

Summer mein, train mein seat confirm nahin hone ki problem ko dekhte hue, Eastern Railway ne 12 long-distance trains mein extra coaches add karne ka decision liya hai. Patna Howrah Main Line pe bahot saari trains available hain. Patna Shalimar Duranto ya Patna Howrah Garib Rath ko Patna Kiul Jamalpur Bhagalpur Sahibganj hote hue Howrah chalana chahiye.
