The absence of wheel chocks caused five wagons to roll onto the loop line, leading to the derailment. The collision with an overhead equipment pole caused power disruption in the affected section. While the main line was restored, repairs are ongoing on the loop line. The incident impacted several trains, including the 12149 Danapur-Pune Express, 22177 Mahanagari Express, 22538 Kushinagar Express, 10557 Pathankot Express, 12720 Hyderabad Jaipur Express, 09073 Bandra-Patna Express, and 12141 Lotiit-Patliputra Express, causing delays of over an hour.
