CPRO Dr. Suskar Vipul Vilasrao stated that this pre-emptive cancellation is to prevent inconvenience to passengers who might face disruptions due to fog and help them avoid booking tickets. The exact dates of cancellation for both trains are listed below.

The railway stations of Kochuveli and Nemom have been renamed to Thiruvananthapuram North and Thiruvananthapuram South, respectively. The 18237/18238 Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express will have a stop at Katol station, and the 11040/11039 Gondia-Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus will have a trial stop at Puntamba station for six months.
