The return special train (06036) will depart from Kochuveli at 3:25 PM every Sunday from October 13th to December 29th, reaching Tambaram at 7:35 AM the next day. These special trains will halt at various stations including Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sankaran Koil, Ambasamudram, Kadayanallur, Tenkasi, Sengottai, Tenmalai, Punalur, Avaniashivaram, Kottarakkara, Kundara, and Kollam. The trains will consist of 14 third AC sleeper coaches and 2 power-generating bogies with luggage compartments. Bookings for these special trains are currently open.

To manage passenger rush during Vinayagar Chathurthi and Onam, two weekly special trains are being operated between Tambaram and Kochuveli. Chaturthi, with departures scheduled on September 6th and 8th. All trains include a variety of seating classes, including AC first class, AC two-tier, AC three-tier, sleeper class, and general second class.
