Cleanliness is way above what you'd term as "satisfactory"! Just before ALJN, the floor was wiped, the attendant was generous and air freshners were sprayed. And guess what, I'm describing no 1A or 2A here, in fact the words are coming from a SLEEPER CLASS experience. I'm impressed. Kudos to ER.
Catering on board seemed to be good and frequent. The usual meals are available for lunch (no egg-curry) - though veg is a bit pricey at Rs 90. The non-veg was great!
Chowmein, vadas, bread-omlet, idli, tea, coffee, etc. is easily available throughout from 'official' IRCTC vendors. Dinner is packaged egg/chicken/veg biryani that is a bit dry so beware.
