railway authorites also not given much clerance that train will reaches kirandul or not .some times train stopped at jagdalpur or koraput only, due to because of maoist problems to kk line or fright derailments.if you take ticket for last stop the remaining amount given back at train stopped station only. no food provided in train .bring your own food with you. ap tourism provide food for passengers only who will debroad train at borracaves and araku valley . better to sit right side of the train because to see beauty of eastern ghats. no single point of MOBILE SIGNAL present between BODDAVARA(VALLEYS AND HILLS START FROM HERE) to ARAKU VALLEY. train never reaches destination in a time .after araku almost train is empty upto koraput ,by koraput train slightly fill upto jagdalpur.from jagdalpur mainly railwaystaff is travelling upto bacheli,kirandul .
Get a window seat (preferably on the right hand side) to see the vast hillside valleys during the beautiful Tunnel section which starts at 'Shrungavarapu kota'.
This train even has one good-old "First Class" coach if would like to travel in privacy with your wife/family. Majority of passengers get down at Araku.

This is the only BG train in India that takes you from 11 meters above sea level (VSKP) to 1 km (1004 meters) above sea level (Shimiliguda, SMLG- ) in 3.5 hrs. Awesome..

Correct. Thats true. But this train takes you to the Highest BG station - SMLG in Indian Main rail network. Which excludes Kashmir valley. So the height it climbs is very steep.

The alley of the FC coach and side lower and side upper of sleeper class comes on right side of the train.
So, first priority while booking a ticket in this train should be given to SUB and SLB of sleeper coach.
If you book in FC, then you may end up standing at doors...

There is a special compartment in this train for the rail cum road day package. The rail cum road package tour is offered by AP tourism Dept., AP Government to Araku, Borra caves & back. Under this package the upward journey from Visakhapatnam is by this train and return trip is by road covering some local tourist places and famous Borra caves. You can enjoy the 4 hr ride to Araku where the train would go through 58 tunnels and 80 viaducts. As the train climbs the eastern ghats you can have a spectacular view of the valley on the other side. Take a right side seat in the train to view the valley.
