One of the best trains to travel to howrah via cst-hwh route via nagpur.Has the top most priority throughout the journey and reaches howrah mostly on time.I have travelled in these train 3 to 4 times and this train has never disappointed me in terms of speed.Food is not up to the mark, which is common even in rajdhani.Better buy foods/snacks from Station's only like nagpur, bilaspur, tatanagar and all....
Beddings are clean, toilets are cleaned out throughout the journey.Well,an excellent maintained train in csr-hwh route.... :-) :-)
Staffs/Ac attendants behaviour are good. But they ask for tips

throughout the end of journey.
If u r a railfanand want some speed, then try these train...With superb speed and Cst-howrah route and vice versa has many beautiful ghats/stations,this will surely make your day :-) :-)

The on-board food is very mediocre indeed considering the Duronto is touted as such a big deal.
Meal 1: Tea, a tasteless cheese sandwich, salted peanuts and a pera (sweet) at 1745, soon after departure from CST Mumbai.
Meal 2: Tomato soup + Non-veg / veg meal starting at 1900. The veg option is paneer. Non-veg is a terrible chicken curry. Mysteriously there was no option for egg-curry. The usual bulletproof chapati accompaniment with sweet curd follows. No ice cream. Fortunately I had a packed burger from Cafe Churchill of colaba!

3: Bed tea at 0600 the next day - Most people skipped this one
Meal 4: Breakfast at 0930 of tea with idli/sambhar (veg) or bread/omlet (non-veg). Not too bad, really.
Meal 5 (see photo): Lunch at 1300 (soup service starts at 1200). Same choices and menu as dinner the previous night except (1) the soup was sweet corn (2) the chicken tasted better (3) ice cream present. I had asked the staff to preserve an omlet for me (from breakfast leftovers) in place of the chicken but that did not materialise.
Meal 6: Tea, an inedible khasta kachori, a laddoo and those horrible haldiram batter coated peanuts at 1700.

No Charging points on the side lower / upper seats. I prefer carrying and extension board to avoid discomfort to others.

Well this is quite disappointing. Travelling in AC Coach & not getting charging pointseven in pure lhb rake. I travelled in hybrid lhb and got charging points on both sides working including in sleepers.

Both lower and upper berths on AC-2 Tier coaches have an excellent LED reading light (similar to that found in aircraft) - see photo. This makes it great for nighttime reading without disturbing others. It's a vast improvement over the 'shutter' lamps found on the non-LHB coaches which function better as room heaters!
The LHB coaches also seem to be a little more square in lateral cross section permitting more room on the upper berth as the photo shows.

These Improved lightning systems are available in LHB Coaches only because the normal ICF coaches are still using the shutter light systems. A good move by Indian Railways.

LED's emit less heat than normal sodium vapor lamps and its not a fault with IR or shutter lamps.
I agree on the part that they are better designed now.
