It's a blessing of a train jinko Kolkata se mines jaana hota h, places like kiriburu, meghatuburu barbil se bohot easily accesible hain aur kolkata mein there are a lot of Headquarters like SAIL RMD, etc.. jinko mines se aana hota h on a weekly basis it's somewhat their only option..

Preferring DN Lalmati Express is the biggest mistake one can commit. Cause of unavailability of slots, it never actually makes to HWH. Janshatabdi anyhow struggles to get into SRC and then HWH. Traffic of trains is very high at that time.
Yes. That is why 12022 don't get New Complex PF. 22 is blocked by 18615 at that time. 23 by HWH PURI, 17-21 are too blocked by likes of Jnaneswari, Azad Hind, Samarsata, Samleshwari. About Lalmati. Never comes to Howrah. Either Short Terminated at KGP or SRC
Rupashi Bangla is better than 12022. Sad part is Lalmati can't make it Howrah on most day. It is either Short Terminated at SRC OR KGP
BBN Janshatabdi gets late at TATA only by 30 minutes. Then it makes up some time till KGP then again gets delayed. The time of its arrival at Howrah is always after 21:30 now a days and at that time SER PFs are booked by all night trains like Azad Hind, Samleshwari, Jnaneswari/Samarsata, Kriya Yoga and other.
Hmm. But regarding Lalmati, why is the train short terminated at SRC?
No slot available. One after one Departure and SER EMU as well. PF shortage too.
They should do this ASAP. Any passenger who does not know about this will board this train thinking that it will go to Howrah but in the end if it terminates at SRC, he/she will be in serious trouble.
Yesterday 12221 PUNE HWH Duronto was late. It arrived Howrah at 21:35 hours with WAP 4 SRC in the lead. As the time was after 21:00 it was alloted PF 12 just because of all the reason I mentioned why BBN JS gets old complex PF everyday.
Hmm. Around that time the new complex is overwhelmed with departing trains.
ER is the boss at Howrah and SER is always at their mercy it appears......with the number of trains increasing in SER route in recent times, stations like SRC and Shalimar hardly have been able to manage the load. Connectivity issues also make it an unfriendly option for customers.

SHM could actually serve as a viable terminus station but connectivity is a big issue. However, I have recently been to SHM and I have seen construction work underway for development of more platforms so I think there could a solution to this problem soon.
