Heard So Much About Darjeeling Mail Over A Decade. Finally Had The Privilege By The Same On 2nd Feb. I Must Say The Train Is Over Hyped.

CONS:
1. There Ain't Any Pantry Car In The Train. Hence, A Cup Of Coffee Charged Here Is INR 15/-. And Bread-Omletter [ Not Even Butter] Is Charged INR 40/- . Simply Loot Business. One Doesn't Have Any Other Option Than Having Such Pathetic Food On A Higher Price

However, I'm glad to know that the cleanliness and bedding provided were of good quality. Yes, the absence of a pantry car can be inconvenient for passengers and sometimes the prices charged for food items can be unreasonable. It's disappointing to hear that the train also reached NJP 2 hours late and there was a problem with water supply in the washrooms. I hope your next journey is more pleasant and satisfies your expectations. The Kamrup Express is a good option and I'm sure it'll serve you better in your next trip to NJP.
