So I travelled on this train after a gap of almost 2 years.Few things changed.Train got Converted from ICF to LHB.Coach composition too.
Here are my reviews
Punctuality:-You can always beleive punctuality on this train.Thanks to given slack enroute,this train gets delayed from 15 mins to 1 hour but reaches LTT ontime,or sometimes 30-40 mins late.Try to see its run from BSL to IGP.A non stop run here and covers the delay most in this section.

What about UR/WL passengers entry in SL? Also if in any section it got overcrowded in SL?
Vai in sleeper people always block doors and sometimes even load it with luggage. Also there is question about security of luggage in sleeper and also the fact that your seat might be occupied if you leave it. So I think AC is best, especially if you can secure a SL or Lower berth seat
Depends on which month and date u are travelling.I travelled on its counterpart train 12151 Ltt hwh samarsata express back on 18 October 2017.It was diwali time and UR crowd got jam-packed from LTT itself.Sleeper class was like a full crowded local train.Even Ac classes werent spared with Lots of wl were there but outside.Eventually by the time train reached nagpur wl were removed.
Now as u said right now there is not so much rush and you can travel peacefully on ur respective seat.See this[Mumbai howrah] route is one of the busiest route but at some point of time demand for trains on this route come down little.

Absolutely brother.Now a days Reservation in sleeper is just a sake name.And the condition of sleeper is worse than UR,Sadly.However not all trains are having same story.Depends upon TC and RPFs how they control it.And yes,For railfanning purpose if you feel you can manage yourself in sleeper then go ahead.Again it depends upon train to train is it safe or not.
Sleeper nowadays is becoming equivalent to UR. In fact, even 3AC is getting invaded.
Cleaniness of SL is very bad in ICF era

2day I booked ticket 4m HWH to KYN in 12102 .
One thing I noticed @ the time of booking status of 3A = avl 12
and in SL class = RAC
First time in my life I saw such condition in such type of train .

One of the best maintained train of CR.
The toilets in 3 tier AC, is extremely neat and clean. Dry throughout the journey.

Yep, the toilets are more or less clean throughout!! Better than many trains on this route, incl Karmabhoomi
Having said that, Kudos to Central Railway and their wonderful base kitchen, I borrowed this Noodles from my sister and seriously loved the taste.
:)
It is wonderful move by CR and the Pantry Car of this train does have wonderful food :)
