Generally Punctual, since this is the first train to arrive SBC from BNC side (on a daily basis); generally given priority, because platform allotment is never a problem at that time, sometimes tends to arrive BT also, if it crosses BNC at around 03:35-03:40hrs!! Always given pf5 owing to the length of the train, senior citizens/disabled persons wanting to avail free battery car facility, please take note down their mobile no. in advance and call to check if they operate at those times. Also, this train is a good connecting choice for passengers deciding to go towards UBL side by boarding UBL JS, as it gives you a gap of abt 2hrs.

It is always safe and better for passengers travelling to Bengaluru to deboard at Bengaluru City instead of BNC or BNCE or KJM as the train arrives very early at odd timings.

This train is running on pretty old rakes and you will feel pretty violent jerks throughout journey from Chennai to Mysore and onward journey as well, irrespective of SL or AC, the jerks are very high intensity. Pregnant ladies and people with other medical challenges - please avoid this train, if possible. I had complained online to Rlwys, they replied that the entire rake is old and needs to be changed. But, they never change it. Toilets stink badly, as this train is hardly cleaned and while approaching Chennai form Mysore, it takes nearly 50 mins to reach Chennai Central from Perambur junction.
