promethsuresh^~ 3536 blog postsFor passengers who would like to travel to Kerala ( towards PGT ,TCR, ERS, ALLP, QLN, KCVL) from Mysore board the 12008/Mysuru - Chennai Central Shatabdi Express at 14:15 and alight at SBC at 16:15 and board the 16315/KSR Bengaluru - Kochuveli Express and this is a very convenient option as there is very less transfer time.
Instead of getting down in Majectic(SBC), It will be very convenient to getdown in Cantonment where same Platform for both outgoing trains from Bangalore.
Passenger Need not have to bother about knowing/changing platform

Good tip but now not fully applicable as 16315 is extended to Mysore.. The tip is still applicable for people who want a slightly later departure from Mysore

TrainTravel 8 blog postsTraveled on 20th Oct. Train still running with 2 Extra coaches CE1 & CE2. Railways closed the coaches for cleaning and opened it only at 1:45 PM. Train was neat. Served Khatta Meetha, Mom's magic, Bread Sandwich & Soan Cake after Bengaluru. So it's good to finish your lunch and board the train.
Then came the Soup with 2 bread sticks. Night dinner served around 8:00 PM. 2 Chappatis, 1 vegetable subji, rice, dhall and curd. Vegetable subji was very spicy.
As usual reached the Chennai Central on time :)

promethsuresh^~ 3536 blog postsIf you want to enjoy the scenery and want some good food you can board the CC coach of 16557/Mysuru - Bengaluru Rajya Rani Express which just leaves after 15 minutes after the Shatabdi but if reaching early is your priority you can board 12008/Mysuru - Chennai Central Shatabdi Express
