General coaches are a hell. Gets fill up to the brim (but still lesser crowd than Indrayani exp) from Pune itself. Worst even on Weekends or Festive time.
So if you wish to travel between Pune-Mumbai/Dadar , then book a 2S seat. The tickets are generally available even at morning on the journey date. But do book in advance if its weekend or Festive time like Shiv jayanti or Ganpati.
CC are generally available all the time and its CC has good cancellation rate.

Not at all worth travelling in UP Direction (Pune - Mumbai) Virtually takes more than the time given, due to EMU upto Lonavala, then again after Karjat.
Doesn't maintain punctuality in Up direction on any single day

This train promises at lot on timetable but during my recent 3 or 4 trips from PUNE to TNA, the train has never reached on time. It gets delayed at least by 20 minutes.
In the recent trip, the train got delayed by 32 minutes or so. As per my knowledge, this train trails a local (PUNE to LNL) till LNL and in Ghat section the speed

Travelled on the same day on same train but towards Mumbai side.Here are my observations
-Good run between Pune to Lonavala and Karjat to Kalyan.
-If luck isnt on your side,it will halt at kalyan as Geetanjali express also comes at the same time and if 12128 reaches late kyn,Geetu will go ahead.(Beneficial for kyn commuters though)
-Snacks are available

If deccan queen is the queen of pune-bombay,then this intercity is the king of this route.
Just book a 2S window seat,and enjoy the heart throbing speed. Yesterday 1st time travelled in this train from pune to thane. Best speed was between pune-talegaon and palasdhari-thane leg of journey. Constantly ticking 80-90kmph.

This train is the fastest train on Pune-Mumbai route and is truly one of the best I/E trains of India. This is one of the few trains which skips KYN even though daily 5-10 people deboard at KYN

It is good that this train skips KYN.........where you regularly see local train pass holders boarding mail trains to DR CSTM.......in the morning time peak hours.....
