Be Aware Of Pantry Staff Of This Train. They Are Literally Fraud Elements. Yesterday I Caught Them Red Handed Selling Coffee At ₹25/- & Tea At ₹15/- . I Demanded For The “Price Chart” Which They Didn’t Show Me Till Now. Avoid Buying From Them As Much You Can
Pantry staff of any train run a loot business(except Raj/Duronto/Shatabdi). Once my father was travelling from HWH-GHY on 12345 and he ordered egg meal from PC. Once the caterer came to charge bill, he charged 160! Reason he gave was adding salad, sweet and other bogus things. Thankfully, the matter was solved and regular pay for egg meal was charged but that came after much trouble and arguments. That is why whenever I travel, I either get down at big stations and buy food from vendors or rely on e-catering.
I Have Stopped Having My Lunch / Dinner From Pantry Some 5 Yrs Back. Earlier I Used To Order From Travelkhana. Now Order From E-catering. But This Rascals Are Looting Like Anything Even For Tea / Coffee
Yes, they are not leaving a single opportunity to loot from people. Maybe this is due to many people actually not ordering lunch or dinner from pantry anymore. Because they cannot loot from big meals, they are using small snacks to make huge profits.
It's Time We Start Asking For The Price Chart For Every Single Purchase... We Have To Be Concerned Now
Or better, stop ordering anything from them. If majority of the passengers do not order anything then no matter how much they cheat, they will suffer a loss.
You Can’t Carry Home Meal For A Long Distance Trip. For Overnight Journey It’s Feasible
This train is one of the best train to Howrah.Honestly saying,opt this train instead of jnaneswari if having ample time.
I travelled recently on 12151 from Lokmanya Tilak terminus to howrah.Date 18/10/17.It arrived LTT late by 60 mins and departed at 9.40 pm,but still managed to arrived Howrah 8.20 am!!!.Food is not up to the mark,but overall a speedy journey though,overtaking the ontime 12809 mail at Jalgaon,Gondwana express near Bilaspur shows the priority.For railfanning too it's a good train.

See jnaneswari is one of the fastest train to Howrah but due to odd arrival at Howrah junction most of the people avoid it.I personally suffered many times because no buses are available and Taxi always charge high prices.So I prefer mostly samarsata now :)
3 am is better but if u aren't getting public transportation at night what's the use? Those who rely on these have to suffer
Veg Lunch/Dinner at 150 , Nonveg at 170. Good Food Served. Train cleaned at Bilaspur .
Just one word " Superb " . Had an excellent jouney from NGP to HWH though it takes more time than Azad Hind & Mumbai Mail but still its an excellent train in terms of speed & punctuality. Departed NGP & arrived HWH on dot time inspite of getting delayed in the middle .Throughout the journey the train didn't dissapointed me in terms of speed. It was very much similar like travelling in Rajdhani.
