The coaches are generally old and aren't that clean. The train has some 2 hr TAT at BDTS and hence, coaches aren't entirely cleaned while the train departs BDTS.

Toilets are generally kept clean. There are no soaps (liquid soaps) in the toilet. The dustbin area isn't clean at all. Some company has been contracted for cleaning these coaches but they don't do their jobs correctly. Only once they will sweep and mop the floor, but the dustbin around the washbasin won't be cleaned. BRC; courtesy of which, don't be surprised if you find Rodents in the coaches (AC/Non AC).

Cleanliness of this train is overall a mess.
Bedding is clean, but the towels given are very old!

Better carry personal hygiene stuff like Paper Napkins,Hand Sanitizer, and an extra bag or something just to collect your garbage.

With Regards to Food, Firstly, no Lunch will be served.
Vendors are available from BDTS/BVI Till Surat and further from Surat till ADI. They generally serve snacks like Bhel/Cutlet & packaged foods like chips/kurkure etc. Hot and Cold Drinks will be available with them throughout. Soup will be also be available, but only Tomato Soup.
For Dinner, they generally takes orders post Surat but serve you before Vadodara!! sometimes due to shortage of Dinner in general you may not get the dinner as I found out on my journey. Post BRC however,...

Dominos Pizza Guy will come and ask you for an order. The Pizza will be served at your seat at ADI. But the Pizza part is only available for AC passengers and not for Non AC passengers!
So, overall, it will be better if you can carry lunch as well as Dinner when you travel in this train.

Punctuality is very good. In the first leg, on days where train gets overtaken by Pune NZM Duronto, it might be delayed at Surat, but more or less after that it will be punctual.
On other days it mostly arrives before time at Surat. Also, at Vadodara, it may be held up at a few stations because of PF unavailability.
It travels nicely through the night and reaches Marwar before time on most of the occasions.
