If traveling in LJN--GKP section [in both UP/DN directions], prefer then 12531/2 ICE. Despite starting ~1 hr later, that train usually overtakes this one.
Tickets are more easily available in AC than in SL[which can get full, especially at last minute]. AC remains exceptionally empty in the opposite direction, especially post GKP upto LJN.

Train is more of a fast passenger than an actual express train. Stops at pretty much every other station in the middle. Previously, the train used to have a single rake which used to return the same day; causing delays especially in departure from LJN. After RSA has been implemented with LJN-Jabalpur and doubling of LJN-GKP section; it has become more punctual than before.
