Travelled from YPR to Pune in Feb 2020 in Sleeper
Video playlist: click here
Cleanliness: Coach was clean until passengers made it dirty. Cleaners came to clean the coach at some point of time. Washroom were moderately clean.
Punctuality: Slack can cover some of the delay.
Food:...
more... No pantry is there. But there is plenty of food options available on train. Catering staff come to take orders for lunch and dinner, but those are overpriced. Bhelpuri is must try.
Ticket availability: YPR comes under RLWL, so limited tickets though i found my coach fairly empty upon boarding. Make sure you book tickets in advance.
Railfanning: Daylight journey between Yesvantpur and Belagavi. Fully diesel route. If your coach is closer to the loco, you are in for a feast. Be sure to grab a door after Alnavar, you will get curves every other minute till Belagavi. Unfortunately, you cannot capture Shindawane Ghats.
Safety: Not much. Anyone can go in and out anytime.
Few other points:
1. While I boarded from Yesvantpur, the TTE came to check ticket only after Belagavi
2. Train starts to fill after Davangere, Hubbali. But lots of unauthorized passengers start entering after Belagavi.
3. Be sure to put alarm if you plan to deboard at Pune. Due to slack, it has more possibilities to reach before time.
