It was introduced during Lalu's tenure as RM, I think. I travelled in 15203/4 Barauni Lucknow Express and it had this structure [along with some other trains] in SL coaches.
It's Side Middle Berth, it was introduced to increase the carrying capacity, most inconvenient berth, failed miserably.. Coaches that had SMB , LB was allotted for RAC with MB in folded condition !!
Maine Howrah Nagpur route pe 18029/30 and 12809/10 me 2008-09 me Tata/HWH se Nagpur ke bich bahut safar kiya hoon kam se kam 4-5 times.. Us time experimental basis par side middle lagay gaya tha sleeper me.. Jisko logo ne reject kar diya aur baad me remove kar diya gaya. Us time ke RM sayad lalu yadav the.

I too share same feelings for him. His sole attention was to pace up freight movements , DFC, USBRL.
I felt very upset of his actions and deeply jolted by his act post balasore disaster, rather than pacifying and mollyfying the families who lost near and dear ones and taking moral responsibility as rail minister he tried to divert attention and avoid media questions .

Please anyone guide me how to create imaginary trains in IRI, "Add imaginary trains" option is not showing in me.
