Finally Dhanbad getting some trains. But dedicated north connectivity still required.
PATNA/GAYA se Delhi ki train ko jane ja bhaot sare route hai like via DDU-PRYG, DDU-BSB, PPTA-CPR,... Bt dhn ki sari train ko via chord line se hi jana hoga isliye syd denied kiya hoga railway...
Personally I wouldn't believe it unless there is actual confirmation regarding the same !
1. If extended this train would be a boon for the people of the BKSC-DHN people.
2. However a new train would have been beneficial, as this lot of trains get loaded from HTE itself.

All routes available from GAYA are also available from DHN.
PPTA-CPR via GAYA-PNBE is impractical because RR at PNBE isn't a practical possibility. Going via Rajgir from GAYA would be counter-productive, but that route is also available from DHN.
Routes via DDU-BSB are also available from DHN.
There are also routes like DHN-CPU-PRYJ available more easily from DHN.

The NG tracks at GWL still exist. They are adjacent to PF 4, though no trains ply from there of course, now. The abandoned rakes were kept there. Do note the built year 1992. I wouldn't even call it a yard, since there are no facilities there, just a dumping ground now. An inside view of the NG train is also there. The tracks curved via Ghosipura inside Gwalior [at speeds of ~5 kph] before hitting the highway [towards Dholpur] [I spotted another NG station there, abandoned of course] and then turning course. The NG alignment then met the BG alignment near Banmore, I think [they came close, didn't xing over].

So Why GWO is Showing New Line Construction When No Construction is Proposed
I assume a new broad gauge line will be constructed there as an extension of the current GWL station, incrementing the number of platforms. It will not connect the station with 'Ghosipura' or 'Milaouli' since those are abandoned stations are now. Trains that will start from these 'new platforms' in the future will be able to go in the BG direction eitherways towards NDLS/BPL or towards the old NG tracks that have been aligned via a new looped line from Birlanagar Jn [via Broad gauge now obviously upto Sumaouli currently].
Why They will change from NG to BG When it's Not Needed
They Can Upgrade if Land Is Available otherwise not Required

At New Delhi Varanasi VB is 600 Lucknow Shatabdi is right behind at 610 and it's slow upto Kanpur. If New VB leaves late at ANVT it has to overtake Shatabdi. So new any VB towards Kanpur from ANVT will leave at 600 and run ahead of Varanasi VB with 15 min gap. New Delhi to ANVT is 12km.
Then that shouldn't be an issue at all...ЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСН let's wait and see what's gonna happen....ЁЯСНЁЯСН
instead of ANVT , NDLS should be chosen for VB.. this VB can depart at 5:50 in the morning just like AADR VB ...
ANVT is very far off for half of Delhi... South , West and Suburbs like GGN , FDB , Bahadurgarh , Reethala .. will face huge difficulty while catching this train.. moreover ... Short haul taxi charges will create a mess further...

I beg the newspapers not to call it a 'semi high speed' train. The British had faster coal hauled trains than what would run on this route. The Pink City MG Express was faster than AY-BSB route as of now. This route barely touches 100 kmph [the mps of GKP-LKO VB on this route] and goes even worse post AY towards BSB. An average of 60 kmph doesn't make anything a semi high speed in this era.
For them VB means "semi high speed" and they call it like that.... but ur point is considered.... anything can be done in that section??? Like trying to increase the MPS??? Something???
