Rather than Bhavnagar I Feel this Train Shouldn't Be sent to Somnath or Dwaraka (Okha) it main serves People to SC,Mumbai, Ahmedabad area so diverting to other areas would be a problem we can get good option to either Somnath or Dwaraka these temple cities can get more travellers than Bhavnagar, people going to Bhavnagar can get down at Surendernagar
Ahmedabad beboarding caters to people going to Rajasthan also. As Vskp Gandhidham is running for one day and Kakinada Bhavnagar. A new train can be run to either weekly to Visakhapatnam/kakinada somnath( proposal putup is good) and Dwaraka. With one more rake they can run 2 weeklies to Gujarat. One problem from WR is it has to do SM if accepted it would be good.
At present CR & WR Not Accepted new Trains from Last five to Six years SCR Proposed new Trains proposal from Kakinada - GJ & RJ
In CR and WR the section from Pune to Vadodara is the bottleneck to get new path or add dats to existing slots.

In SER maintainance of TATA CDO is little better than others.
In ER maintainance of SDAH and ASN CDO is better. TKPR CDO of ER is also better than SRC, PDPK CDO of SER

I have travelled and seem the coaches of one SER train 18047/48 it undergoes PM either at SRC/PDPK but the maintenance is pretty average and now the ICF coaches are getting old too.
VSG CDO was top notch before but recently i.e. since last few years things were bad maybe because the ICF rakes were starting to get old. Now after LHB conversion I have not travelled in a single VSG CDO train but those who have travelled have said it's good.

I keep hearing Railway are short on Loco Pilots. So how do they keep finding new crew to run all these new and special trains?
Yes railway is facing shortage of both LP/ALP/TRAIN MANAGER... Bt still they have sufficient amount of crew members by which they can run these special trains... And now duty of crew members are also been extended on various routes to 8hr from 4hr
