So I travelled today from Mysuru Jn to KSR Bengaluru City Jn via the newly launched Mysuru MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat SPL Express. Must be wondering how from Bengaluru, I landed at Mysuru and took this train. I left to Mysuru the previous day (28/11/23 at night via bus) and today went to DPS Mysore for giving a lecture abt the higher studies for students as in which stream to go for 11th and 12th and students who opted for Engineering course. Anyways coming back to the train journey, it was comparatively better than the recent trip I travelled on the normal VB express train almost a month back. Staff members were friendly enough that I didn't face...

Brother can you tell about cleanliness and punctuality of the train.
Punctuality, just like normal VB... reached almost on-time at SBC and departed on-time from MYS.... cleanliness, as u would have seen in my blog, that OBHS team maintained the trainset nicely... including outside when the time was on stand-by at MYS.... so out of 5 I'd give 4.5 ratings....👍👍👍

Food cost is included. evening snacks is Rs 86 catering charge from SBC to Chennai same as regular train.
So this was actually done by my travel agent and the cost from MYS to SBC was Rs.840/- since it was VB SPL.... had it been normal VB, I would have paid only Rs.720/- which would have the lunch being given to the passengers...👍

You expected a Jam and the Pushpback Seats were "Jammed" the route was "Jammed" 😅 - Ah jokes apart. No matter how popular the train could be CDO is reluctant to maintain and disappointed to see all of these for an expensive train.

Yes the train has become extremely popular in both the direction . But IR has now started providing it with VB 1.0 rake .. which is ok if you are traveling till Chandigarh …
Chandigarh New Delhi route can fill another 8-10 coacher Shatabdi / VB with reverse timings of 12045/12046 i.e Afternoon departure from New Delhi say 1230 or so and late evening departure from CDG say 2030 or 2100 hrs dep with NDLS arrival around 2330,
Between Morning Shatabdi @ 0740 dep, the next decent train is at 1720 in the evening...Some intermediate slot train is required which will drop passengers incl female passengers of far flung areas like Nahan, kala Amb, Patiala, Yamunanagar, Una, Rupnagar etc at decent timings at UMB and CDG to allow them to catch public transport like Govt Buses to these 100 kms areas within CDG and UMB etc.

Doubling won't be completed before June, 2024. Similarly, for operation of new MEMU services, SER has to commission Anara Carshed first. Both Nimpura and Tikiapara are over utilised. No free trainsets are available at present.

Most of the earthwork and all foundations are complete. Civil works are in progress. I don't have any photos.
Aranyak Express is a good candidate for IPTN.
Also BKSC-HWH EXP and RNC-HWH ICE via this route.
MEMU rakes not sure how they will manage. They can start the suspended BKSC-ASN MEMU via this route but that belongs to ER.

Free MEMU Rakes are available in SER. But the main problem is PM of all rakes are either at KGP or TKPR. So, for every new MEMU train, rake has to be brought to KGP or TKPR for PM. This is the main problem. So, once Anara Carshed gets operational, these unnecessary RSA's to bring rake to KGP for PM problem will get solved and giving new MEMU trains in Adra, RNC Division will be easy
