I cancelled my ticket in Mangla Lakshdweep and booked this instead, for direct connectivity to Prayagraj 😋.

If possible 12741/42 SF should be made tri weekly and run on this slot from VSG to MFP.
Also slot is good. It's like a clone of 12741/42 in terms of stoppages and speed.
SWR had put up proposal to run 12741/42 daily in last year IRTTC however due to slot sharing issues it did not materialize. Now I think this slot should be free and 12741/42 frequency should be increased to atleast 3 days a week and run in this slot upto MFP.

Maybe this is to see if they can run 12741 on this slot. As seen with this train, even without proper notification and PR, all classes have been sold out for 3 runs so patronage will not be a problem.

Jammu mail provides a dedicated non-premium connectivity to many small stations between Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra . It should not be extended beyond Delhi , I believe.

my question is has swr conducted a meeting with cr zone discussed about running special trains to mumbai on one side swr can run sbc smvt ubl ajmer kgp special trains ok understandable swr has good relations with nwr ser zones but what about cr zone has swr some personal frustation personal rivalry competition or cold war type towards cr zone
Is public transport available from Mandapam to Rameswaram and if possible cost please.

There will be one or two Government buses right outside Mandapam railway station coinciding with the arrival of regular trains. Else you will need walk upto the town bus stop which is 1 km away from where buses towards RMM will be available at regular frequency.
Recommend getting down at Ramanathapuram (similarly the bus station/depot is situated on the Main road right outside the railway station) where you will have no issues getting a seat.

Any idea bro when they can open new pamban bridge ? It is already over the timeline !!
SETC/TNSTC buses available every 15-30 minutes. Local bus 20 Rs fare. Express bus 40-50 Rs bus fare.
The vertical lift portion of the bridge has been making slow progress and has a long way to go. Once that is sorted, the rest of the works will be completed. Track has been laid upto that point from mainland. Realistically it should be ready sometime in 2025.
