For them VB means "semi high speed" and they call it like that.... but ur point is considered.... anything can be done in that section??? Like trying to increase the MPS??? Something???
They have improved it significantly. Significant parts of it are now doubled and whole route is electrified now. The shitty part is only the mps which is low. They are improving the yard remodelling section at Barabanki NR as of now which might optimize that section a bit more. This has led to large scale cancellation of trains on NER side though for a month.
Yeah I've seen that cancellation of those trains and some being diverted too... God knows where this is gonna lead to....😑😑
I went to Gwalior via 11123/24 Mail barely a week ago. If IR had cancelled the trains a week earlier, I would probably have been stranded in GWL. I would probably have then needed road transport to Jhansi and then to Lucknow.
Good thing that journey didn't hinder at that time....👍👍
OBSERVATIONS
Most trains only stop for 2 to 5 minutes at the station. Though there are coach indicators, people still sometimes miss their trains since the SL and GN coaches can be quite crowded. I railfanned on my first day and saw a guy being thrown out of the AC Pantry Car of a RUNNING TRAIN because he was probably an unreserved pax boarding in an unauthorised manner. [ Still, throwing from a running train could be limb threathening easily; IMO, shouldn't have been done, better to hand over to in train...

DIBRUGARH/NTSK is still far away for railway in terms of frequency of trains.... These places despretely needed 1 daily train to Delhi via patna and 1 weekly-biweekly to delhi via gkp.... 1 daily train to HWH-SDAH via boggibil bridge.... And weekly trains to MUMBAI-CHENNAI-AHMEDABAD-BANGLORE-GOA
Kamrup Express Has Connection From DBRG then have Stoppage at NTSK it Should be Daily and Via Bogibeel Should have Dedicated Rake and Different Time Table

The NG tracks at GWL still exist. They are adjacent to PF 4, though no trains ply from there of course, now. The abandoned rakes were kept there. Do note the built year 1992. I wouldn't even call it a yard, since there are no facilities there, just a dumping ground now. An inside view of the NG train is also there. The tracks curved via Ghosipura inside Gwalior [at speeds of ~5 kph] before hitting the highway [towards Dholpur] [I spotted another NG station there, abandoned of course] and then turning course. The NG alignment then met the BG alignment near Banmore, I think [they came close, didn't xing over].

Gwalior is relatively a small station, only 4 platforms. Most UP/DN trains towards/from Delhi come on Pf 1 and 2 only. Pf 3 and 4 are usually for originating/terminating trains. The station could possibly do with an extra platform. Though the controlling at the station was quite good and trains weren't delayed at the outers. Hardly any train stopped for more than 5 minutes at the stations.
They Can Use Erstwhile NG Platforms as BG Platforms Like FZR Adding Two More PFs Side by Side of PF no 1 & 2 Which are Same When Sone 22-24 Coacher Arrives at FZR
One Was Used as Loco Parking For EMD loco Which Arrived with Punjab Mail now is Converted into PF it's Towards BTI Side and other One Was Stabling Idle Coaches Now It's Turned into PF it's Towards Firozpur City Side
