Looking at the clean exterior of this train reminded me of old legacy days of SCR which had the best maintenance and I used to wait to watch the clean rakes Hyderabad Express and Hussain Sagar Express pass by.

The NG tracks at GWL still exist. They are adjacent to PF 4, though no trains ply from there of course, now. The abandoned rakes were kept there. Do note the built year 1992. I wouldn't even call it a yard, since there are no facilities there, just a dumping ground now. An inside view of the NG train is also there. The tracks curved via Ghosipura inside Gwalior [at speeds of ~5 kph] before hitting the highway [towards Dholpur] [I spotted another NG station there, abandoned of course] and then turning course. The NG alignment then met the BG alignment near Banmore, I think [they came close, didn't xing over].

Why They will change from NG to BG When it's Not Needed

Finally Dhanbad getting some trains. But dedicated north connectivity still required.
PATNA/GAYA se Delhi ki train ko jane ja bhaot sare route hai like via DDU-PRYG, DDU-BSB, PPTA-CPR,... Bt dhn ki sari train ko via chord line se hi jana hoga isliye syd denied kiya hoga railway...
Personally I wouldn't believe it unless there is actual confirmation regarding the same !
1. If extended this train would be a boon for the people of the BKSC-DHN people.
2. However a new train would have been beneficial, as this lot of trains get loaded from HTE itself.

All routes available from GAYA are also available from DHN.
PPTA-CPR via GAYA-PNBE is impractical because RR at PNBE isn't a practical possibility. Going via Rajgir from GAYA would be counter-productive, but that route is also available from DHN.
Routes via DDU-BSB are also available from DHN.
There are also routes like DHN-CPU-PRYJ available more easily from DHN.
