The Internet Info states that Lord Minto who was the Viceroy of India had inaugurated the Dhanbad - Gaya - Mughalsarai Grand Chord Route by attending an inaugural function at Gujhandi Station. This small monument may be the symbol of that function. In today's time I think that it would be unsafe to visit these stations in the dense Dhanua - Manua Forest Belt of this Koderma Hill Area ;-)

The major works in the line were a bridge across the river Son at Dehri, tunneling and ghat line construction between Gurpa and Gujhandi
