They do make excellent products, those duplicate inferior electronic goods and toys which are available throughout the India are not the only thing China manufactures. They do manufacture high end toys and all our good electronics are also manufactured in China. Even Mumbai metro is also using the rolling stock from China.
Now China exports their used locos and rolling stocks to Pakistan railways and the Pakistanis readily buy them. That is totally political and economical issue as PR can't spend lots of money to buy new equipments they satisfy themselves with the used equipments and that is another reason for PR's faliure. Most of their locos have stopped working.

I personally travelled in China high speed trains from Hangzhou to Quzhou a distance of 250+kms on Shanghai-Shenzen Guangzhou route and Boading to beijing 147km on Beijing Guangzou route and felt in speed and quality of coaches. The D trains run with speeds of 200kmph and cover the first route in just 1 hr 40 mins. Even a train with max speed of 120kmph to boading from beijing took just 1.5hrs to cover the distance and its rush and both corridors have trains running every 10min all the railway network is fenced and wall built in towns and cities, Electric traction, airconditioning coaches, no level or road crossings and very punctual. the average speeds are maintained throughout the journey.
