Hi all, it was an awesome experience from Dadar to MYS. The entire journey of mine was accompanied with thousands of coconut trees, idly vadas, pedhas, kundhas, numerous Marati and Kannada friends, calm and serene towns of KA and vibrant cities of Belgaum, UBL, DVG and MYS. Travel tips under this train helped me a lot. Got Belgaum Kundha and Dharwad Pedhas to home. I loved DP more than BK, especially for its melting nature. Never thought that Arisikere - Mysore route will be in such an interior region. As a whole, for the second time slept on the lap of 'Mother Karnataka' from Ghataprabha river basin in the north to Thimbam mountains in the south. Sharavathi EXP 100/100.

One of my BEST travel experiences has been onboard Sharavati Express from MYS to DR. Simply superb. Triplet locos from MYS to ASK and then the first time (for me)run through the ASK-LD section was just superb. Even the co-passengers were good and calm. Travelled in SL. Brand new(back then) 2013 coach. Lot of unreserved folks from Hassan till Hubli but the TTEs were efficient albeit a bit rude to the Unreserved fellows. All in all, this monsoon, I would love to travel in this train again but in 3A...:)
Yes Krish.. I know.. I have my close frm that community from Karumattham Patti (near CBE). This was the spl. breakfast on his wedding day..
Yes Rohan, loved the journey to the core. And there were showers between UBL and Harihar and also at DVG. The entire Hassan - MYS stretch, on my travel was dotted with showers and frequent lightning.
KA is becoming my second most favoured state for railfanning. All the 3 main routes i.e, MAQ-MAO, MYS-MIRAJ, SOLAPUR-SBC are different from each other, culturally, geographically and thus making KA a good state for Rfanning.
Ya Vinay mostly the culture of South KA (Mysuru Region) and West TN (CBE Region) are one and the same. Ragi muddes (Ragi Kali here), Poli(Opputtu here) and much more form the part of common menu. :)
