Patiala station demand upgradation. Lot of space is there around the station but lying unused or misused. The space towards PF 1A is home to long grown grass and weeds which no one even cared about. That side has 3-4 lines terminating at a ramp which is usually used for military transport etc. and one terminating towards station building.The royal city's station is crying for upgradation. I don't understand that why a huge shed is there towards PF 3 which is never in use and occupying a major section of the station. The station yard is also small. Sometimes 4-5 locos are coupled together on a single yard line. There is an ample space towards that side and yard lines can be upgraded. But it seems that IR never cared about it for the last 50 yrs. as everything is still the same. The station building has been categorised as Heritage...
