Hi All,
I am planning to travel to Tirupati with 13 members of my family. Is it better to book tickets online or at counter so that all members will be in same coach ?
Please guide me.

When availability is high. It follows a logic like this. My observation in some trains, may not be same for all.
#
It will give 1-6 if you book 6 seats.
#
Next 6
...
it will give from 65 to 70.
#
So chances of getting seats together is very less in irctc.

Berth allocation starts from the middle of the coach, not side.

I tried in Godavari exp once when there were few hundred seats avbl and I got same coach 1-6 and 65-69. May be the logic varies or has changed.

It all depends on what is available at time of booking. But assuming 100% of the berths are vacant, the allocation starts from centre.
