coaches are bad, and i guess all the ageing coaches of India are stocked up by the Eastern Railways. both HA-1 and A-1 were of early 90 make .. mice all over the floor , cooling effect was bad, bedroll provided minus towels , dirty and broken toilets for both HA-1 and A-1. Way to go Eastern Railways .. time you guys buck up and upgrade the standard of your trains , (hope someone from ER reads this blog) . NR would give tough fight to ER (not to defame anyone but i am generalizing my experience with the overall standard of the coaches , that too of a SF standard train)

:please write a letter to public grievances officer of eastern railways..about your journey and condition of your coach, action will be taken surely.
If the attendant dont provide u the towel, then ask for it. and if he still dont provide it, then call for the compliant book...they have d towels, but they dont provide it coz few people take the towel with them. I availed the towel after a few arguments with the attendant n tte....
similar situation sir , for janneswari a cr train ., sleeper class berths broken., side lowers gaps no-uniformity ., dirty ., no rail staff for cleaning even for 3 ac asked for by visiting bilaspur station master ( on 27 february) 3 ac coach just opposite station masters chamber still no cleaning ., thus certains trains or most after duranto + rajdhani & select satabdi/jan satabdi cleaning is not visibly visible ., where-as for ac coaches in duranto/rajdhani even at stops soap cleaning of glass is visible .
not alone this in few ac coaches attendents now contractors supply ., they say hell for complaints & tte do not listen ., since they say nothing wud happen to them as do not serve railways tey are under contractors contract thus irctc n attendents is in their new avatar in recent years .
till 3 - 4 years back it was okay ., but now service is visible only on select trains which have heavy name-tags by railway ministry !!
