I guess Waltair/Visakhapatnam will see the ends of the mighty WAG-6 era in few more years.
Out 18, it was 15, n now to 13 locos.
10 Hitachi WAG-6B/C's.

I just hope either present ECoR or else new coming zone preserves these at Visakhapatnam ELS or else at the station, so that people can know, Visakhapatnam actually homed India's first High Horse Power Locomotive decades back.
Its good that the descendants WAG-9's came out in no time, though the delay was done by 2 years, due to shed expansion n other important works at ELS.
WAG-6 will bid goodbye to IR few more years.
