The Eastern Railway has temporarily suspended the Dhanbad-Howrah AC Double-decker Express (both Up and Down) from January 26 to March 1 due to heavy losses because of low occupancy rate, triggering fears among passengers that the train will be withdrawn for good.The train has been temporarily suspended due to huge losses incurred by the railways.
Less than 70 passengers take the train, which has a seating capacity of 640.
The losses, thereby, come to around Rs 11 lakh every day, sources said.

*My suggestion would be to extend the train upto BKSC and run via TATA, and change the time table to depart it in morning from BKSC.
Currently there is no dedicated train between BKSC-HWH in morning except a tri-weekly intercity. BKSC is the 4th largest city after RNC, TATA and DHN and all of them have dedicated trains.
This way BKSC will be linked with TATA, KGP and HWH with Intercity type service which is the need of the hour.
