The Eastern Railway has temporarily suspended the Dhanbad-Howrah AC Double-decker Express (both Up and Down) from January 26 to March 1 due to heavy losses because of low occupancy rate, triggering fears among passengers that the train will be withdrawn for good.
The railways, which had earlier suspended the two-tier train from December 26, 2014, to January 24 this year on the pretext of foggy weather, however, denied any such plan.

Why do you bring the topic of trains bypassing vizag everywhere. I am not trying to argue or debate about the problems that you state in other blogs, however making the same reference in every blog doesnt really make any sense.
As far as this topic is concerned, most of the DDs have failed (not all) and this is probably the worst of the lot specially after the new timings. Even if they give it good timings to and fro, I doubt if its fortunes will ever change. Extension to Bokaro may or may not help, I have no data to support that.

sorry, amravathi was the 1st train to start bypassing and hence, I brought that. and when many trains like pnbe drnt, koaa bound trains dont fill at all, they said its far from kolkata. SHM trains to south also flopped like SHM VSKP too. And same reason for that too.

ir should have stoppped this train way before.it was all foolishness of then railway minister mamta banerjee to start a dd for her home state.eastern india is not like south or western india.eastern india is less developed and a financially poor region compared to other parts of india.maore than that alredy a shatabdi exp is running btwn hwh-rnc on same route.basically dhanbad is a very small town for a train like dd.now only two choice are reamining either permanently stop it or extend tiil gaya /bokaro and see patronage for 6 months.it would be better to run a normal daily exp between howrah and bokaro.
Extreme floating should be there for DD to be success.
Even DD for MAS is running with avg performance on week days where there is equal crowd to and fro
