I also took some photos at the same location, but from a different track just a month back. I was going towards HLZ side through the middle track. See this /station/blog/10505

Take a star... I traveled by Tamralipta Exp to Digha and came back by Kandari Exp while on an office excursion to Digha/Mandarmoni last year... Tamluk seems to be famous for it's thermal power plant if I am not wrong... your snaps sent me into a state of nostalgia :-)
Oh... this is the point from where my train would take the single electrified track to Digha... I feel that the route needs doubling since many trains may start towards this picnic spot.. I saw one at Digha that came from Vizag :-)
That's Kolaghat (Kolaghat Thermal Power Plant aka KTPP), it's not at Tamluk. But anyway, Kolaghat is very near to Tamluk, by bus.
