MSRTC bus stand is just outside the Thane station, and can be accessed by crossing the FOB and exiting after climbing down the stairs (and walking a bit). local buses towards Panvel, nallasopara, Vasai can be found here. To use long distance buses (towards places like Alibag, Pune, Diveagar, etc) walk away further from the railway station (on the road to bus stand) and cross towards left. there you will find a share-rickshaw stand, where you can ask the driver to drop you to Khopat bus depot (charges: Rs 10 per head)
Pune and south MH bound usually available at Vandana Talkies bus stand.
To add, pax who want to travel in long distance trains on WR Ex Borivili, MSRTC buses are avbl outside TNA RS too, which will take less time than by using locals via TNA-DR-DDR-BVI...

True. they also have buses to connect towards Mira-bhayandar, nallasopara etc
